Last Look 03:26
End of day When a candy sunset Leads to orange on grey And the golden palms Give a gentle sway And I walk down to Fred And the Drawing Room And I let if float away Look out on The glowing sea of lights Watch the roil and churn Of the Valley's sights Draw a deep breath And let the tension build And let it all out Until the floor is filled Gone soon Oh I'll be gone soon Gone gone gone And I maybe never was Gone soon Oh I'll be gone soon And I'll live in my own exile 10 weeks, 3 weeks down 10 more days and 3 more days

38 years 4 lives down I hop on a train And I start a new round With these hollow buildings Lined up by the sea Where I'm just a projection With no history Sit in the cold Sit in the dark Keep feeling old Get blown about Try and find a nice smile Hang on to my doubts But I'll stay for a while In these hollow buildings Lined up by the sea Where I'm just a projection With no history Sit in the cold Sit in the dark Keep feeling old Soak up the rain Hide from the wind Find my aches and pains Getting blown about Try and find a friendly smile Hanging on to doubts But I'll stay for a little while Feel the abundance In the town in the gloom Sometimes you land Where you eventually bloom In these hollow buildings Lined up by the sea Where I'm just a projection With no history

You're protected by desert mountains You've got ocotillo punching the skies You've got the se stunning panoramas Taking it all in through your warm blue eyes I'll be gone by the evening I'll be just outside of your mind I'll be fumbling in the darkness Looking for a pale glow of inner light You'll see time unfold like a staircase I'll see time falling into a crack You've shown me all of these new doorways I've resolved that I'm never looking back Give my spirit back to the rhizome Throw my body back into the sea Let me be part of the love that's all around us You'll hear me whispering, "Finally"

Currents 03:14
We couldn't have asked For too much better weather On a day like today We could only bask In the scattered sun And put a few cheap beers away We could feel The chill at last As we nestled in to a blanket of fog Explosions masked Diffused in the clouds As we opened up our lives to get loud Currents sweep Magnets pull The conductor collects And the bridge takes tolls Time time time so soon Time time time time for car serenades Time time time so soon Time to go shopping for some picture frames Breeze is blowing in from the bay Around 4 o'clock on another hot day Breeze is blowing in from the bay Around 4 o'clock to clear the hot day credits

I lost my lust for the thrill of sound I lost my way I lost the feeling of the ground I lost desire to be anywhere I have no home My chest is empty And my mind is bare I lost my thoughts I lost forgetting I lost the bet But I can't keep fretting I lost my place I lost the book I lost the sound And I lost the hook I lost all of the brown trees Ive lost all that yellow soil I lost miles of concrete rivers I lost the need for the endless toil I've lost all the groves of brown trees I've lost all that yellow soil soil I've lost the sight of concrete rivers I've lost the feeling of my guts as they roil I found the rain From a marble sky I've found some shortcuts When I'm out riding my bike I've found fine fine coffee And friendly smiles I've found some shoreline That goes on for a few miles I've found some green and silver I've found some rich, damp loam I've found a new place To let my spirit roam

Living in jetlag Going nowhere Dried up and sandbagged I can hear the wind's prayer Black treeline against a blacker sky Orange and purple, breathe out and say goodbye 4am shifting Cold in the night Dried out and drifting Waiting for the light Black treeline against a blacker sky Orange and purple, breathe out and say goodbye Marking out hours Worrying about the day Watch the slow shifting from grey to lighter grey Black treeline against a blacker sky Orange and purple, breathe out and say goodbye Marking out hours Waiting for the day Watch the slow shifting from grey to lighter grey

You never deserved to go down like that You never deserved all those people in charge You never deserved the ash You never deserved the scrap You were never all that kind I had left you so long ago You were lonely and bitter still But you never deserved all that poison soil You never deserved the scrap You never deserved the all the ash You never deserved all that smoke You never deserved all that heat You never deserved the scrap You never deserved the ash You never deserved to ruin All those people who were good like me

Give me a season of cold and wet and darkness Give me a reason to make it to next year Give me the set, give me the setting It's not a race but I'm sprinting through the years I've been spinning I've been floating I've been floating And I'm grasping for the edge I've been hoping That there's a soft landing when I step off of the ledge Give me a flag Give me an anchor Give mom a moment And I'll plant them in my chest Let me admire The mossy bridge behind me Give silent thank-you's To the ways that I've been blessed

Be A Harbor 03:47
No man's an island, but he can burn a bridge He can stay home all weekend Watch TV and raid the fridge No man is total, he's missing a hello He needs his people He needs a place to go Be a piece Don't be a puzzle Be the link Don't be the end I've got a wide base But I can still be tripped I'm made of strong stuff But I can still be ripped I'm meant for others Built be a helping hand I'm made to rebuild bridges Just a feature of the land Be a piece Don't be a puzzle Be the link Don't be the end No man is total, he's missing a hello He needs his people He needs a place to go

about

I have lived a rich and beautiful life so far. It’s been a time of transition and change, thrills and beautiful self discovery. This album is made in gratitude for all the pain, gentleness, understanding and care I’ve received until now. I expect there will be plenty more but that’s for the next album. What a thrill to be able to share this with you. I hope it brings as much joy to hear as it did to make.

More light every day.

—————

Special thanks to the following: Everyone who has eased my path forward and shown me kindness. I meant every declaration of love from the bottom of my heart and have accepted them with the utmost gratitude.
My family, who has been so forgiving of my failings and unique personality. This includes Kat, to whom I wish only the best life has. She deserves the best and will no doubt find it.
Friends and loved ones, on whom I rely deeply.
The city of Bellingham, which has been so welcoming and kind.
Camber Coffee and Gruff Brewing, who let me take up a seat and mix an album during business hours for the price of coffees and beers.
My Campfire Collaborator, who was so nice in helping me with some field recordings and a wonderful conversationalist.
Merrilynn Duarte, who was kind enough to make a bunch of very nice photos of me.

Let’s make some more good memories.
